Description

This diaper balm is safe to use with cloth diapers but also wonderful to use with disposable or Hybrid diapers. The diaper balm uses all organic ingredients to soothe and heal an irritated bottom. It is also great to use as a moisturizing barrier for bottoms in the night or daytime diapering. It helps provide a protective barrier against moisture thereby preventing a rash. It is gentle enough to be used anytime and all the time.

As a mom of two frisky boys, I loved having a diaper rash balm without all the nasty preservatives and chemicals. I also love that this small tube lasts a long, long time and is a convenient applicator that allows for application without fingers. Yet the tube is small enough to carry in a diaper bag without the bulk or weight of conventional ointment. Carry one with you, have a tube at home or give one as a gift to a new mom. This diaper rash balm is wonderful for all moms with littles.

Ingredients: Local Beeswax, Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, Sweet Almond Oil, Zinc Oxide, Extracts of calendula flowers and lavender Flower

About the ingredients:

Sweet Almond Oil: Dermatologists often recommend using almond oil on baby's skin.
Almond oil is high in vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and E. It's naturally rich in emollients, helping to retain moisture while giving additional hydration to skin. It also helps to heal inflammation, eczema and rashes while relieving the itching that accompanies these conditions. This makes sweet almond oil perfect for baby's sensitive skin.

Calendula: Calendula is known to stimulate physiological regeneration and skin healing. For centuries, it has been used to treat skin disorders and enhance the wound healing process. This herb has a high number of flavonoids, which can help reduce inflammation and thereby speed up the stages of healing. These same flavonoids also fight off bacteria, viruses and other pathogens protecting the wound from infection. It helps soothe sore, inflamed, and itchy skin conditions.

Lavender: Lavender infused oil is very helpful in treating rashes. It gives this balm a wonderfully delicate fragrance of lavender without using lavender essential oil which shouldn't be used on infants. Lavender infused oil helps to inhibit bacteria and contains soothing properties that help to reduce inflammation. This allows it to treat skin redness and conditions such as burns, eczema and psoriasis.

Coconut Oil: Coconut oil is one of the most nourishing oils you can put onto your child’s skin. The small molecular structure of coconut oil allows for easy absorption through the skin and into the cell structure of the connective tissues. This means that it has the ability to actually restore damaged or diseased skin.

Shea Butter: Shea butter makes the skin incredibly soft. It is high in vitamins A and E and helps to promote collagen production in the skin. Shea butter contains naturally occurring antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and healing compounds that work to resolve, soothe and clear up skin irritations such as diaper rash.

Beeswax: Beeswax creates a barrier that helps to seal moisture into the skin, while still allowing it to breathe. Beeswax also contains vitamin A, which improves hydration to the skin and promotes cell regeneration.

Zinc Oxide: Zinc Oxide provides the anti-bacterial effect on the rash aiding in healing and keeping it infection-free.  Zinc Oxide can occur naturally as the mineral zincite. Zinc oxide will make moisture bead off of the skin. It is found in most OTC and all-natural diaper rash creams.

Directions:

Apply twice daily or more as needed to inflamed, red or itchy and irritated skin. Spot test for allergies. Do not leave in direct sun. If melting occurs, place in refrigerator to re-harden. This item has no preservatives
